“Coastline Cinema” is a collaboration between independent cinemas on the Croatian side of the Adriatic, seeking to develop a common model to encourage the return of young audiences to the cinemas.

The cinemas of this project came together due to their strong connection and common promotion of European programming, and their shared tradition of open-air cinemas.

This project consists of premieres of new European films with guest appearances and Q&A sessions with audiences. The guests are invited to one of the partner cinemas and the screenings and Q&A sessions are broadcasted live in the other partner cinemas.

In parallel to these screenings, curated content for children is developed in partnership with local schools, with the support of educational manuals for each title as well as training workshops for teachers.

A "Film Graduation" fully designed and created by students is finally held in open-air cinemas.

In addition, a public campaign, entitled #kinostalgija, aiming to raise awareness on the importance of cinemas, is deployed through testimonials and memories related to the films.
